Golden Age GP Selection

    Is there either
    1. A way to actively choose which among your GPs are consumed in a GA, or
    2. A mechanic that would let you control that indirectly?
    For example, say I have two (2) Prophets, one (1) Merchant, one (1) Scientist, and one (1) Engineer. I want a GA immediately, which will cost two (2) GPs, but I know I'll need the Engineer and the Scientist soon. Is there a way (or a trick) to make SURE the Merchant and a Prophet get used?

    The most sure way to do this is to place the 2+ GP that you want to consume on the same tile and then, while they are both selected (just like unit stacking) click on the "start golden age" action.

    Depending on how long ago your last game was this question has come up a couple of times this year........that said I never had a need to search for it since the solution is quite logical if you consider how other "multiple unit actions" work in the game.

    The solution *would* be quite logical if the GP's you multi-selected were the ones consumed. But that is not always the case, especially when there is another GP on the same tile. It seems that putting only the ones you want to burn on the same tile is reliable, but I haven't looked at the code to confirm it. Whenever I burn the wrong GP's, I just enter the World Builder to remedy the situation.
