You might have met one or two non-Turks in the MHP but I don't think that really means much. They probably just reject their whole background. I could probably find some random Jew who joined the KKK.

Thank you for that NovaKart... (Also for your good contribution to the other thread too)...
It is sad to see there are even people fond of the Gray Wolves (MHP) in this thread...

Ottomans were successor of Byzantine Empire. many greeks converted to Islam and became Ottomans. Mehmed II took title Kayser-i Rum (Caesar of the Romans) also, Byzantines never called themselves as greek or hellenes but Romioi (Romans).

And Kolokotronis in 1821 called himself Romios.

one or two? are you kidding? do you know Turkey? there is extremely nationalist provinces in southeastern Turkey.

I am sure that is what they teach you in the turanist-nazi MHP, where you go on occasion like you yourself admitted in this thread :crazyeye:

Also the Turks have nothing to do with Byzantium.

They kept the imperial title, institutions, the Patriach, and many of the people as well since quite a lot of Turks today are descended from Greek-speakers who converted to Islam. These included the members of the House of Osman probably going back as far as Murad I, at least.

I hate nationalism and I'll not try to explain what my political view is. I know many greeks and all of them hate Turkey and Turks. but when a Turk say "viva Turkey!" "OMG he is such a nationalist he must be Gray Wolf" I'm tired listening bull**** greek hatred of Turkey.

Uh, you yourself said you like the MHP. Others already noted that the MHP is the political party (known as Gray Wolves) linked to the terrorist organization also known as Gray Wolves, that has killed more than 1000 political enemies of the turkish state.

Here is one of those links again: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_Wolves

article on the Gray Wolves said:
The Idealist Youth (Turkish: Ülkücü Gençlik), commonly known as Grey Wolves (Turkish: Bozkurtlar), is a Turkish ultra-nationalist,[2][3][4] neo-fascist[5][6][7][8][9][10][11] youth organization. It is the "unofficial militant arm" of the Nationalist Movement Party.[12] The Grey Wolves have been accused of terrorism.[5][7][8] According to Turkish authorities,[who?] the organization carried out 694 murders between 1974–1980.[13]

That the MHP is a fascist party (to put it politely) is not really in contention.

show my post that I said I like MHP. I don't need to like mhp to become patriotic. Patriotism and nationalism two different things.

 Post #35 in this thread...

Gray wolves organization and Nationalist Movement Party (aka Gray Wolves) aren't same. they are two different organizations. and I visit their places a few times there are Kurds in Nationalist Movement Party even there was an Arab which I know personally. they don't treat non-Turks like animal. unlike gd people do.

then, tell me about Elazığ?
Elazığ is known for being conservative and patriotic. Not a single leftist party has managed to get a candidate elected in the past 34 years. Moreover, the BDP, an ethnic nationalist Kurdish party, has never managed to get an official elected to the Turkish Grand National Assembly in contrary to its neighbouring provinces Tunceli and Diyarbakir.[8] Elazığ is also the most developed city (and province) in the region according to a report that was carried out by the Ministry of Development, making it the most developed region of Eastern Anatolia Region.

THE NAZIS ARE COMING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

Germany is becoming hegemon of Europe.
In fact, Germans have been quite racist against the people of Southern Europe.
Because instead of bordering Belgium or the Swiss, we border FYROM (they are crazy nationalists who want to invade Macedonia), Turkey (they claim the Agean and occupy the Northen Part of Cyprus - at least once every year the Turks move their ships in the Agean or threaten to invade Cyprus) and Bulgaria.
Christos, just don't feed the racists here.
[...] Alexander [...] Byzantine Empire [...] Byzantine [...] Alexander [...]
The Byzantines [...] Byzantines themselves [...] Greeks. [...] patriarch [...] another battle of Marathon or Salamis. [...] "Sun King of Hellas" [...] Byzantine emperor [...] "King of the Hellenes". [...] "We are Hellenes by race and culture," [...] reborn Byzantine Empire [...]
Byzantines = Modern Greeks.

Excellent thread guys!

Too bad you have to do it here, now that the H&J mod has decided not to be into H&J all that much...

so tell me where did I say I like MHP?

How does that suggest they're part of the MHP? Patriotic and conservative doesn't necessarily translate to MHP.

most of youth of Elazığ supporting MHP and rest of them AKP. and non-of-them supporting kurds and they are from southeastern Turkey. I have many friends from Elazığ who are Pan-Turkist, ultra-nationalist (Turkish nationalist). anyway, what about Iğdır? a province in eastern Turkey. MHP got most of their votes.

my point is MHP isn't a nazi-like party. there are non-Turks in it.

Thanks :) well I don't know a lot about the current protests so just my opinion.

I do know a couple people offhand who support the MHP, I'll try to ask them later more about it to get more perspective on it.
