I am dedicating my government to the total eridaction of all debt owed, by Austraila or otherwise. There shall be a new crusade these days: one against poverty, injustice, and debt."

Many years ago, a great man of the United Kingdom said in reaction to the recent agreements in Eastern Europe that placed many nations into the hands of the USSR as puppet states; “From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic an iron curtain has descended across the Continent.”. Today, my fellow countrymen, this Iron Curtain has been replaced by one of steel. The USSR, in reaction to popular democratic movements, invaded the sovereign nation of Yugoslavia. This is an utter obstruction to the democratic force of change and progress. The very fact that the USSR would be willing to attack a nation, in the process killing thousands of soldiers and civilians, for this reason cannot be let passed.
As such, a embargo shall be placed on the USSR and all puppet states thereof. This will, hopefully, send a message to the communists that we will not tolerate such imperialistic and aggressive actions which are an affront to the spread of Democracy and freedom.

It is with great concern that we see the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics invade Yugoslavia for what we see as a lack of justification. The Federation of Malaysia condemns this action and joins the embargo against the USSR. All Malaysian nationals are strongly encouraged to report to the nearest Malaysian embassy or leave the USSR immediately.
The Federation of Malaysia also wish to strongly request the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Yugoslavia.
