Good, bad, or what?

Life, the universe, and averything have been conspiring to keep me away for CiV. So what is the general opinion of the game? Skimming through this forum, there seems to be a lot of negative comments. Does anyone like #5? Is it better in any way(s)? Worse? Would love to hear your opinion -- especially if you have something good to say.

P.S. If all goes well, I will be wallowing in CiV before the weekend is out .

Wait a few days to ask when everything settles down. There is always a lot of negative rants on release week for some reason.

It has a lot of potential, but as of right now it is not great (like I said in the other thread), just average. Especially for us who liked RoM AND!
