I'm new to CIV and BTS and I'm looking for a good interface mod. Nothing special, just something to streamline game play. I'm playing on warlord, either as Brennus, Saladin, or Roosevelt.

Or BAT which includes BUG and more good stuff. :D

BUG all the way! High five! :high5:

don't forget to drop in and say thx to the BUG guys for there great work.

Heck, I'm going to find you and kiss your feet if I ever find myself in New York. :D

BuG as a mod with BetterAI folded in is my choice.

As for streamlining game play, figure out what you need to do every turn, every 5 turns or what can wait for every 10th turn.

For example, I won't check on every city every turn. Instead I will only do a full review of all my cities about every 10th turn (on Marathon, sometimes 15-20 turns). In the meantime, I rely on BuG to tell me about unhappy/unhealthy cities or check the F1 screen every turn or three.

I also won't queue up hundreds of turns worth of buildings. I generally build one or two things, then I'll get prompted and given a chance to re-examine the city. Which gives me a chance to change which tiles are being worked or what specialists there are.

One note on that idea. If you have a city build a particular unit indefinitely, it's not really a good idea to also give it a rally point. It's very easy to forget about things if the same unit just shows up a certain location, but if it actually starts out at the city it was built in you can have a chance to look in there and see if it needs anything.
