Good City Sites

I just had to make a thread for this city.... as a second city, I can't ask for more. Two gold to spur my early game economy, Ivory to fuel my early-mid game conquests with imba elephants, and cows & rice to fuel the city to grow... just awesome...



Post some great city locations here!

Bah I deleted the pic I took, but I once rolled a start with

4 Floodplains
2 Gold Mines
1 Corn
1 Pig
2 Plains Hills
1 Grassland Hill
and rest grassland
City would be found on a Plains Hill (for +1 hammer sweetness)

I've gotten some insane starts with a fractal map/jungle map setting. Once I had 2 bannanas and 4 gem locations, 1 crab and a river running through it. Of course, I really couldn't do much until I got ironworking, but hey, after that I was set.

On the subject of gems, I once rolled a start with 5 gems in the capital city radius, with 4 of them being on a river. It was insane. I rerolled the start as I didn't want to play with such an overpowered start.

That's pretty nice. Though, I often reroll until I get those starts. That's about as much help as I ever get from the computer.
