Good free chess sites

Hey guys.

I recently got back into chess. Does anyone know any quick and dirty websites for chess where you don't have to register? Sorta similar to instantchess.com or any similar sites?

You can play without registering but registration is free. Most of the strong players at my chess club use it.

It depends on whether you want live or turn-based (a.k.a. correspondence). For turn-based, I recommend BrainKing. You register to get a name, naturally, but basic membership is free.
