Google Custom Search not working?

I've noticed that on several websites, including this one, Google's Custom Search does not work. Instead of showing a page of results, it just displays the word "Loading", and nothing else happens. I have tried multiple sites and multiple computers, and the result is the same. Stranger yet, I could not find any mention of this when I googled the problem.

Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know what is going on, or how to counteract it?

Works fine for me. You might try a different browser. If that works, then re-install the one you are using.

I was using Chrome, and when I used Internet Explorer, it worked fine.

I use Chrome and it works fine. As I said, trying re-installing it (uninstall and then download again). It sounds like there is something wrong with the installation on your computer.

Probably, but I've been using Chrome for over a year with no problems until last week.

I'd wager a guess that it could be cookies or browser extensions that might cause an issue like this.

Click the three bars button in the upper left corner of chrome. You can find extensions there and also clear cookies and other browser data there under settings, advanced settings.
