Google Custom Site Search

I made some changes to the Google search box today. The Google Custom Site Search now replaces the search box on the main site. It will search the following sites on the CivFanatics servers:

http://www.civfanatics.com
http://forums.civfanatics.com
http://www.civfanatics.net
http://hof.civfanatics.net
http://gotm.civfanatics.net
http://civ2gotm.civfanatics.net
http://kael.civfanatics.net/
http://rhye.civfanatics.net/
http://www.civfanatics.net/bluemarble/

In addition, the search results page are now shown locally on the site, within the site layout.

I'm having trouble using the site search. It seems to be that its no better for me.

A few weeks ago, I was able to google something and find it very easily. However, now when I try to find it, I can't. On top of that, it seems to be that it takes a longer time to load.

Don't take me wrong though, I really appreciate everything that is done on these websites.

Well, previously the Google search allows you to choose between searching forums and main site. This just consolidates both.

As for speed, it may take a little more than to load initially since the search results is integrated with the site within an iframe. But search speed should be the same since it's powered by Google.

I used to be able to right-click on a link and open it up in a tab. (Firefox.) Very handy. Under the new search I can't.

Do you happen to know why? I suspect a bizarre quirk in one of my plug-ins, but I can hope...

I think it must be something with your set-up. It works for me: Search results are returned as standard hyperlinks, and I can open them however I like.
