It was never even about speed for me. I have grown up with the game and so it has a special place for me. I'm sure Mario similarly has a special place for you.

Also funny to say Mario's better considering your country's voted Sonic the best.

Nope, my brother had a Sega.

Only when I worked as a games programmer was the superiority of Mario apparent.

When I got a GBA it was confirmed.

Mario > Sonic.

You like Mario, fine. More power to you.

But I'm not going to give your opinions the weight of the word of God. I like Sonic better, and that will never change. I also like Klonoa better than Pac-Man by a far margin; I'd prefer the former as Namco's guy.
