Got a problem with the latest WOTM

I don't know if I should post this here but a mod can move it if I did a mistake!

I searched the forum to find a similar problem but either that it doesn't exist or that I didn't search enough

I have all the latest patch, got the gold version and BtS. everything working fine. Got windows XP and a fast computer that is new. I want to participate in the latest WOTM but can't seem to be able to use the save file. I downloaded the HOF Mod but he doesn't appear in the folder like he's suppose. This making the save file telling me the MOD doens't exist and making the game restart and it enter a circle where he can't find the mod and restart and can't find the MOD and restart...

I tried reinstalling the HOF MOD and it says that there is already a file there, I install it again but nothing appear and it still doesn't work...

I'm starting to think that I made a mistake somewhere. I'm not a computer geek and didn't do any modifying to any files.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I am not sure exactly what you mean by "tried to install it", so a couple of question (from someoe who is also not very computer litterate)...

1. Are you sure you have the correct version of the HoF mod. The correct version is NOT necessarily the latest version. In the game download thread, it tells you exactly which version you need. Only that one will work.

2. If the right version, then after downloading it, did you run the .exe fill to get the file to extract itself to the correct directory?

3. If 1 and 2 are done, how are you trying to start the WOTM? The easiest is to double click on the start file with Warlods NOT running. That way, the game will load up the mod at the same time as the file.

There is a huge support thread in the HOF forum, (1500 or so posts) that, IIRC, has mentioned a problem with the HOF mods not working with the gold edition (somthing about the file structure not being the same or some such thing). You might look there to cofirm if that is the issue (should be a recent post, or search for "gold edition"), or post your problem there as well for an answer.

There is a bug in the gold edition where the files are not identical to the the standard game install.

Not sure exactly what files they are

in the current HOF mod, gold edition owners and STEAM users are out of luck due to differences in the file structures(STEAM) or the .exe itself is different than individual installs are(gold edition).

The next version of the HOF mods, I believe are planned to fix these problems, but I have no idea when they'll be released.

I have the Gold edition also and am having the same problem. I am hoping the newest version of HOF will be out soon to patch the problem.

Will it get done faster if I say I have gold edition and want to play? and to think I re installed the whole game thinking it was a problem. . .

I sure hope they can find the problem and make a version for us, I'm pretty sure we aren't the only one playing with gold!
