Got new game ,cant add new units

Hey guy i used to be able to add units to PTW but i cant with this new Conquests.

SO, can some onw just make a scinario with the WW2 units added in. Just the WW2 Units or the Rifleman of the countrys that WW2 folder ahd like Germany and America and Brittish...ect.

Then also for any Pro modlers...Id like to have a
UH-1 Iriquios { HUEY} added for any country cause i dont really like the Chinook lokking trasport. I just need the Units added to a Blank Scinario map with the Max map size of 362/362. Or the files cause the file system is anoying. I miss just adding units in CIV 3. Why they make it so hard.
 
Just doubleclick on one of the conquest bic files like before and add in the units same as before. And put the unit files into the appropriate conquest art/units folder and update the pediacons. Easy as pie. At what point are you stuck? Editor won't start?
 
I get a Error with can read file.

I get error can find file, but i can fix that after playing with the Pediaicons .

I got the German units to work untill i look at the Tech Tree,
and i cant read files like GermanRM.sm or .lg

I have the file set up like this...

I open the CIV edit...add unit "German Rifleman"

set up his skills... add civlopida PRTO_German_Rifleman

then i go into the Text and add the PRTO and ANIME german rifleman thing in.

but as C.Branson would say "NO DICE"

Do i need a folder with everything it needs in it or what???

I have a folder called BigGame -with its own Text and Art folder..

in art folder i have all the added units. and in text the Perdiaicons i edited and the civlopiadia

What are the Art files it needs and how do i set up the Folder so it looks in it?

In short I dont like all this crap and i wish that someone would have made a Scinario with all the Conquest techs added in and the units so the game play be longer... o well mybe you guys will help me so i can do it...
 
A folder called BigGame??? Get rid of that and put the added units into one of the conquest folders already available and edit the corresponding bic file with the new units.

Also make sure there are no spelling errors:

ini file name
unit folder name
unit name in editor
PRTO_...
ANIME...

You can make the PRTO_ and ANIME name different but that is just pointless risk. Usually after I add like 50 new units, I get about 3 crashes from my spelling errors during high speed typing but they are easy to find cause the editor gives you an error message telling you where the mistake is. Write down each new unit's name on paper first putting unit folders into art/units, then type in all the new names in editor going by your paperwork, then give skills to all units, then type all the new units into pediacons using your list on paper. It's the safest and fastest way to do it. Total time per new unit including all steps is about 1 or 2 minutes. Test all new units using "Debug mode" and use shift+F1 to add new units. Don't play a game until every added unit tests out okay. It only takes about 5 seconds to test each unit. And all the files on the ini file must be in the unit folder with identical spelling or game will crash with message of error.
