A new month so time to start with a new game of the month:
Game of the Month #95 (Feb. 2009)
GLOBAL WARMING PART 1..........
Live at earth is not the same anymore. The temperatures rised and rised. After many years the earth changed rapidly. Places where green grass was changed into dessert. Places with a lot of forrest changed into jungle. And many more things changed.
In the whole world the effects were huge. People died everywere...only a few survivors are left. They had to live as people used to live long ago. Building a camp and when the resources were up they moved to a better place. Nomads...nothing more......
After living this way for many generations only a few stories of the live before "The Disaster" survived. One of them is that humans were able to fly into space and that they almost were ready to find other planets where live for humans was possible.
With this in mind a few nomads decided to try it once more.....To become a great civilization with amazing technologies who can fly to the stars. These nomads called themself the "French".....they new they had to go a long way......the only tech they still had from the old days is Alphabet.....but they gave it a try and choose you as their new leader.
Will you accept this challenge and lead this civilization to stars?????
The game settings
Civilization: French
Map: Special map (40x250); 5 civs, flat
Difficulty: King
Barbarians: Villages only
Restarts: On
Spaceship: Allowed
Winning this gotm is only by spaceship. So conquest is not allowed.
Starting Techs:
~ Alphabet
Games will be due on Mar. 15th, 2009.
Before starting you're game you can look at the map with the mapeditor of civII.. I like to play the game also but I know how the map looks like...this way everybody knows the same at the start.
Please be sure to follow the submission guidelines when submitting your game (please do not send your files in a .zip file. Attach hem directly to your e-mail with your name in the save file).
Please sent the savegames also to me because Duke still isn't back. That way I can look at the results an tell who has won the GOTM. First sent me a pm that you want to submit then I'll give you my personal email where you can sent the files to.
