    GAME OF THE MONTH #2
    Start: March 1st, 2001
    End: March 31st, 2001

    Game Info:

    - Large random map
    - King level
    - 7 Civilizations
    - Raging horde barbarians
    - Accelerated Startup (I played the first few turns for you)

The game is saved to a saved game (GOTM02.sav). I used Civ2 Classic to create the saved game so everyone should be able to play it.

At the end of the contest, all participants will have their saved games and names posted in the Game of the Month section.

    --------------------------------------------
Accelerated Startup: Start Year = 1850 BC

    Briefing:

Your empire is the most powerful empire in the world at this time, far ahead of other civilizations in all areas. You have a total of 6 cities, 2 of them are building Wonders of the World! While all other Civs are still despots, your enlightened wisemen had discovered the secret of Monarchy and you are the KING of this powerful kingdom.

You have recently discovered the English and have signed a peace treaty with them (after they shared their currency knowledge with you). Two of their cities are within sight, including a newly founded city, Nottingham.

One of your horseman unit is near Nottingham. Shall you betray the English and use your horsemen to destroy that city, or shall you keep the peace treaty? Another option is to move your horsemen back to your undefended city of Tabritz, build a trireme, and find new lands; you can not afford to stay on this island forever. Your wisemen had discovered Map Making not long ago.

    Which route should you take?

    GAME OF THE MONTH #3
    Start: April 1st, 2001
    End: April 30th, 2001

    Game Info:

    - Normal random map
    - Emperor level
    - 6 Civilizations
    - Raging horde barbarians
    - Bloodlust

btw, I didn't customize the map this time, so if the terrain as brutal as the terrian in GOTM#1, don't blame me. I also didn't look the map this time because I am going to play this GOTM.

This game looks interesting. There is a hut 2 squares away from your settlers, and you start with 2 settlers. I hope you don't reveal barbarians in that hut... have fun playing!

Edit Note: forgot to mention this game is BLOODLUST!

The Civ2 Game of the Month continues with this 16th game. As you can see from the screenshot, the starting location is really great with whales, coals, and good amount of plains and hills. Even better, you start with two settlers units! Don't be too happy though because extra goodies at startup usually means the map is going to be a tough one (i.e. you may be on a small island).

    Here are the game parameters:

    Emperor Level
    Medium Map
    7 Civs
    Persians
Start with Bronze Working and two settlers

Ok here is what we have:

    7 civs
    Emporer level.
Capitol(suitable for OCC) and 1 settler
    No techs
    No restarts
    60x60 map
    restless tribes
    NO HUTS

All huts have been removed for a change. Since this is accomplished with the scenario editing tools of 2.42,you will be able to research "in a straight shot". You won't get rooked by tech choices.

Its that time again and this time we have another twist. You will be playing this one as a Fundamentalist. Thats right. I have forced a government change via the cheat editor and you will start and play the game as a High Priest.

I have forbid government changes but sometimes it doesn't work correctly. If you ever get an option to change, you should not. House rule will be no changes. Stay Fundy.

    Deity level
    Bronze Working
    Ceremonial Burial
    Horseback Riding
    2 settlers

Once again, you will have direct tech choices. The game is a save and you load it by the usual "load saved game" way.

    The Story

Your civilization rises from obscurity in 4000 BC, and because of it's unique nature, will possess a wondrous asset: it is called a Wonder of the World. The mystics assure you that this Wonder will help your civilization... it was built for you by the ancients in tribute to your glory. Choose wisely!

You are charged to rapidly conquer the world or send a spaceship of colonists to a faraway star... you know the path ahead is difficult... emperors have told you about this level... you know the barbarians are raging... and at the dawn of your civilization, YOU alone must decide which wonder will reside with your civilization... which of the Seven Ancient Wonders is your desire?

The mystics further advise that none of the 6 competing civilizations in this medium world have a wonder or any kind extra help from the ancients. You are free to pursue any science, government, and strategy you choose for your civilization... and of course may compete with your enemies to build any additional wonders you desire.

The mists of time begin to clear....... your destiny awaits!
