(Finally) the results of the Game of the Month of May are ready! Again shadowdale has won. Only the 2nd and 3rd place go to respectively Cactus Pete and LRY.

Also, some shifts took place in the Global Ranking, except for the fact that shadowdale is leading more than ever.

Well I must say that I would never have expected to become the first to finish the game!!
lol.gif

And the second thing I notice when I look at the score is that the difference between my score and Cactus Pete's are only some 600 points - and I got 400 points from my space ship so the real difference is even less - only some 200 points!!!

And the year we finish in - The only reason why mine is a bit lower is because I get the extra turns for the Space ship - you only played SIX turns more than me!!!

So even though there is a rather big difference in our GotM score then you have most certainly given me a fight to the finish line - congratulations that was very well played!!!

And congratulations to everybody who participated - whether they won or lost - Deity is never an easy thing to beat, but a lot of people did and quite a few with some very good results!!! As far as I can see seven people could come in the HoF - and they could do much better if they played the games until 2020AD!!!

That's wonderful! A million thanks to Matrix for the hard work.

Me and Matrix were talking about banning Shadow from the GOTM a while ago, who's with me?

Well I'd be with you too, TF, but the way I've been slipping down the rankings myself you'd have to ban kev, Cactus Pete and Dimitris for me to even begin to make a comeback!

Actually, I'm really impressed how everyone seems to have caught on to the new scoring system so quickly. Looking at my own scores, it appears that I've been standing still and everyone has been passing by (you included Thunderfall--congrats

). Definitely a situation I'm aiming to change by next month. No more Mr. Nicebond

Now that everyone is so good, it'll be interesting to see how astronomical the scores become in game 5...

Ummmm....

I know that I sent in a game for GOTM4.

I hope I didn't screw something up.

I'll have to send a note to Matrix. Perhaps I'm just not seeing my effort on the scores.

Sorry if I mess everyone up guys. My score was not all that bad if I remember correctly - though wonders upon wonders it is nowhere near Shadowdale's.

He said his GOTM submission was for GOTM V, so I didn't take a look at it. I'll add you a.s.a.p., Kev.

I just hope you don't seem to win a medal. That wouldn't be nice for the others...

Sorry again, Matrix. I knew the game was for May and called it GOTM5 because May is the 5th month. My bad.

Looking at the scores and trying to judge, I don't think my effort was medal-worthy in any case. Looks like I'll have to REALLY concentrate on finishing earlier in order to score well. In any case, you don't have to add my score to the list if you don't wish - but I hope you are able to add the points to my global ranking.

Sorry to everyone for being dopey.

I've sent the new results to Thunderfall. When he has uploaded it, you'll notice that you (Kev) ended 6th. Luckily you didn't get a medal. j/k
But I say that because it would be a pity for the Cactus Pete and/or LRY.

However, you did manage to stay 2nd in the Global Ranking!

Also, my illegal result for the GOTM III is deleted (it was already concerning the Global Ranking).

ARGH! Down I go again.

P.S.: Re. Kev's GOTM 5/ 5th month problem (i.e. shouldn't we name the GOTMs on a date system)... Well I won't say "I told you so."

Well done, Matrix. Nice job.
