Hey guys

i'm getting a really annoying error when i'm playing..

various places both in game and menu starts to blur in black.. it's like the different layers of the game jump around.. the game screen constantly blinks from black to showing some details of the game..

I have all the recommended system requirements except for only 384 mb ram.. could this be why? what can i do to fix this

thanks loads guys!

(sorry if i'm posting any dumb questions or suggestions, but as you can probably read i'm a complete pc ******)

you have 512 MB RAM - but the graphics card uses 64 of this because it does not have its own memory - which is a problem but the major problem is that your graphics card
VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP
does not have hardware transform and lightning (TnL or T&L) support. This is one of the hard requirements of Civ.
I don't think anything short of a new graphics card will help - but you can try installing a newer driver - yours is two years old. Some people have had improvements in playability, but in your case it is likely a hardware issue.
