Graphics Problem

I am having a problem with my game in the sense that whenever I go to play the game after a successful installation. I go to play now and i start playing but when I come to the wold view screen where I am supposed to see my starting settler and warrior all I see is the units but NO TERRAIN its like they are walking on black stuff and I can't seem to find a way to solve this.
Please help!!!

I am sorry, I am not 100% sure what does do it, but I had same problem before.. I think its because you have too bad grafic card. But you can actually semi-repair it by that button that make you see what you get from each tile.. lol sorry for bad english.
