I did some minor retexturing and created four new support buildings: India, Iran, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. I included abilities for each of them as well.
India: Free Specialist in all cities on Continent.
Iran: +1 Gold, +1 Espionage to all Ideology Buildings.
Israel: +1 EXP to all units created, +50% Great General points.
Saudi Arabia: Provides One Oil. +10% Gold in all cities.
They are currently set up as modular files (easy enough to convert), but I had to load them in Rise of Mankind since Second Revolution cannot load modules at the moment.
I did not make buttons (used a button from a Rise of Mankind Module I made) for them yet since the other foreign support wonders' buttons are not showing up (about a third of the buttons are not showing up). If they currently do not exist, I will be glad to make some of them (although I think many of them exist in the Second Revolution for Civ4 Vanilla).
I hope you like them. I was planning on making ones for Egypt and Turkey, as well as individual European nations (rather than EU support), if you want.
I am not sure that Egypt and turkey are likely to be powerful enough to "offer support".
those look great and they are good ideas. can i add these to modcast as well?
try looking up second revolution 2.0 for buttons. its a warlords mod. i will have to dig up a link. i havent worked on 2.0 since before we worked on rtw in bts.
can you help us with some coding stuff? the scavengertype has been diligent with xml and im going to get on some artwork once the next episode is out.
I found the Link to 2nd Rev 2.0. I can also go through the Rise of Mankind pak files for Buttons, I know zappara has a lot of Modern and Future age buttons.
My main code knowledge is XML, like scavengertype; the only other code I have done is very, very minor/basic Python. If you need another XML coder, I will contribute, I just need to know what is needed (If I remember right, I know that an Obama LH is needed, possibly a right-wing militia LH for Northern rebels, and Los Zetas or drug cartel LH for Southern Rebels (alternative to Zapatistas)).
i have an obama already. hes just waiting to be put in. for mexico we need to find the alternate leader, and i wanted to do hugo chavez for southern rebels alternate. what i do need is a nice subcommander marcos leader head
its okay if you cant do code, i do need ALOT of flavortext and buttons. scavenger type has started a project for 2ndRev Events, and doing a custom event system.
i also want to eventually create a version repository with subversion. this will mandatory for me if and when we get a coder
btw: thanks so much for your help. im thinking that all the contributors will be in the credits and on the main menu of the mod on the picket signs
If he wants to make art some of the resource graphics which we were discussing at the end of the main discussion thread that would be cool by me. Also, if he likes doing buildings like the last ones there, I think some of the US buildings are missing their flags. Plus no offense tony, but the conservative icons look like a Colbert Nation icon IMO rather than a conservative one. The conservative party logo would probibly do better.
Also I am sorry if I am being critical of people's art or ideas here, please don't take it as hostility.

I figured it was you and I was worried I was scaring this new guy off with criticizing his Egypt/turkey support buildings ideas. I sure don't want to scare any new help off. You should find a piece of XML that he may like to work on, while we got his attention.
generalstaff: are there any parts of the XML that you know well or would like to work on? Sounds like garret was talking about some unique buildings which may need graphics and XML entries for them. this is detailed at the end of the 3.0 discussion thread.

Really? even my suggestion, of the mountain there that looks like a branch and two olives, for an in game graphic for a green project? You like that idea and your going to put it in the game?

Sorry I haven't responded in a while, I do not currently have regular internet access. I was hoping to neaten up civs and leaderheads by removing all unnecessary entries, but dealing with Buildings is fine since many have XML issues. As for leaderhead graphics, I preferred the photo stills rather than animated, but that is just me. Before I start on anything, I would like to have an idea on what I should keep, delete, change, and add.
As for graphics, I when through the pak files for Rise of Mankind and dug up a lot of Modern and Future buttons, buildings, and movies. I also when through Afforess' and my modules for graphics. I also finished the support buildings I was working on; I did not add tech requirements or adjust building costs; I only did abilities. Some of the posters look crappy at the city level, but look great on the pedia screen. I will list the abilities I added for them; they are in the same file format as before.
Egypt: +1 Commerce in all Sea tiles
Turkey: +50% Worker rate.
Germany: +1 Free Technology.
France: Provides One Wine. +10% Culture in all cities.
Italy: +10% Culture, +10% Great Person rate in all cities.
Poland: +1 Food per Citizen specialist
Spain: +2 Culture per Specialist. Free Specialist in city.
Sweden: Free Hospital in all cities. +25% War Weariness in all cities.
I do not know if any other Foreign Support buildings are needed, the only other countries which I could picture giving aid are Chile (currently in an economic upswing, would aid other Latin American countries with natural resources) and the Vatican (would aid Catholic nations, 2 Free Priest Specialists, +5% Culture in all cities). I also do not mind if any of the buildings are not used or abilities changed, I just wanted to expand the idea of foreign nations using the instability for proxy wars or securing future alliances.

EDIT: I forgot about a graphics module which adds a lot of military unit graphics; it makes things easier than hunting down the individual graphics on CFC.
nice i like those. i would like to get all ideas down and graphics gathered, then we can do the xml. by that time i hope to have a coder, and the 3 of us can muddle through xml (its the one skill we have LOL).
