It's late in the game and it is obvious you will win. Half the world is your color. Or you have the only spaceship. Or you own the UN and just bribed three AIs to be your friends. Or perhaps you have already won the game (or time ran out) and for some reason you just want to play longer.

And in this game, one AI was just a constant pest. It always managed to be in your way; declared war on the wrong people, made peace at the wrong time, settled in the wrong place, wandered around your lands aimlessly and just generally made the game more difficult than normal. And now you can, shall we say, deal with the issue, since the outcome of the game is no longer in doubt.

So, share your stories of late night nuclear annihilation, proliferation and outright joy and guilty happiness as you sent your 'favorite' AI back to 0s and 1s. Before and after pictures are welcome, too.

If I've already won, I just move on to the next game. While the AI is barely worthy of mercy, retribution is just not my cup of joe.

You want to control, you must control the entire world but there's that one stubborn country left. He's still strong and it will take a while to gnaw him into nothingness. You have fifty missiles. They are there, just sitting quietly waiting to go. You can hit every city he's got with two or three missiles. He has a few himself but you have so many cities that any attack he could launch would only be a minor annoyance. Besides, it's three in the morning. What are you gonna do? Why launch them all of course. The animations of launch and ah... landing are great and you have the smug satisfaction of watching your arch enemy smeared off the face of the earth. You can finally hit the sack.

Sorry, Commando, but I'm the peaceful builder type. :hammer: (thats a building hammer ;))

ive been trying to work my way to the hardest difficultys so my past few games have been truly frustrating. the other day i treated my self t to a regent, pangea, huge map game. i kept all the civs alive till i had nukes, established mutual protection packs with most of them (as many who would agree), then sent about 100 nukes spread out to every country. :goodjob:

lets just say i didnt have a great reputation after.

I tried a massive nucclear war recently but my stupid spy forgot to tell they had three times as many as i did.............

Haven't done gratuitous nuking, but I have stockpiled nukes while waiting for the last couple of techs to finish my SS, and ended up using a stack of nukes and ROP rape to prevent AIs SS launch. I wore a dozen or so nukes in response, and it turned into a 4-way nuclear war by the time my SS launched. Was fun.

By the time I win... if I've gotten to "nuke era"... I too tired of dealing with that particular game and am psyced about the next one (assuming I haven't already stated sneaking around with a new game and left my previous game waiting in the wings :p )

Once I dropped so many nukes everywhere, that ever single tile of the map was covered in radioactive pollution (Even my own land, cause I had to use all those extra nukes for something.;) )
