I'm slightly frustrated that GLs cannot rush non-military GWs in C3C. I understand the rationale, but Scientific Leaders (SLs) are far too random. I've recieved one SL so far, but several GLs. I've been playing C3C epic games on regent level to "get a feel." I've warred a bit, mostly as a result of being attacked, but for the most part, I'm almost always the first one to a new tech from the medieval age on.

So, in other words, I'm winning fewer battles w/ elite units than the number of times I reach a tech first, but getting more GLs than SLs.

Keep in mind that if you are not a scientific civ, the chance of getting an SGL is only 3% when you are the first to reach a tech (it is 5% if you are sci). Those aren't the greatest odds, which to me is a good thing, because rushing a great wonder is EXTREMELY powerful. Also, you say MGL's cannot rush non-military great wonders...I was under the impression that they cannot rush any GW's at all, but maybe I am mistaken...

Ah, I wish it were so... that would make sense, wouldn't it? This was proposed, but they decided to improve Armies instead.

Still, a quick FP is a good thing.

I got my first SGL on the first tech I researched (Philosophy). It was great. :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

PS: Philosophy is one of my favorite ancient techs... cheap construction/polytheism/monarchy!
