I personally like the history of the world from the start of the early civilizations in mesopotamia, the Indus, and the Nile all the way to the end of WWII. I'm just not interested in the post-war world.

The greatest age pre WW II, Early Tang dynasty in China from Emperor Tang Taizong to the Yang Guifei times.... After that down the drain...

But actually, ...I like the age that we're living now. In those ancient ages, we cannot play Civ III.... Relish our time now! Microwave oven, VCR, DVD, air condition, the internet, and Civ I, II, III, C3C, the future Civ IV....

The 3 kingdoms age can be exciting if we look at it 1800 years after it happened. But if you're a civilian during that age... a lot of sufferings... Talk about war weariness... 60 damn years of continuous war within your own borders!

as far as interestin, whill...then entire history of near eastern, African, European, and in paticuler meditteranean history up to about the crusades is interesting for me
