I must agree with Constantine for the stated reasons.

The age of Imperialism and Colonialism.

Age of Imperialism. Not because of the imperialism, but because I like studying post-medieval European politics, and it was during this time period, I feel, that European politicians really displayed their best abilities.

I don't find any single age as the greatest or most interesting since different places at different times have different areas of facination for me.
My favorite, as in which one would I most want to exist during, would be the present. I'm not a big fan of small pox and constant intestinal sickness.

The greatest would have to be the present, in my opinion. Today we have the advantage of learning from the experience of the greats of the past.

There is no time like the present.

of course, who is?

But you know how it is. There will be dumb people who idealize certain areas of the past. Like those morons who take the Renaissance fair too seriously because they would love to be a Medieval knight. Most likely they would be a peasent with chronic back pains who dies at 35 years, who has nothing to pass on to his sons, but a debt that they must repay with the extra produce they make after the lord takes his summary 80%. I may be exaggerating, but it would suck to live then.
Although I'm sure it would be nice to live in a fishing village in pre-Christian Norway. Probably idealizing on my part.

Modern times rule. Every corner odfthe world is civilized. Technology is proviecient. This age is the most unique and strongest ever.

I'm reminded of a bit of verse from Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado:

And the idiot who praises with enthusiastic tone
All centuries but this and every country but his own.

World War II

The darkest and brightest period in our history, but civilization had its chance to shine.

It is the last time I can remember human kind coming together to confront a great evil and do work for the common good of all mankind.

Was that before or after the "Great good nations" marked Jews as political refugees, leaving them to burn?

Greatest age is certainly the present - as today the rights of Humans in average top the ones of all other ages.
