Makednos let the southerns to continue their neverending wars, while he established his kingdom. Korinthos, a city state decided to join the empire as a loose viceroy. Makednos accepted the deal. Through the years Korinthos became the merchant and administrative center in south Greece, while the Macedonian kingdom flourished in the North.
Korinthos had a great problem. Many seers saw great glory in Korinthos, but this refers to the distant future. Right now Korinthos is a poor city stagnating for food. Korinthians decided to build a temple in honour of Deus to recieve divine help. The priests said that a lot of patience is needed, an answer unpopular in Korinthos, but what else could they do? Nothing...
After some years the Greeks meet the first people owing to a civilised word. Some minor merchants came from the so called "Canaan". They explored Crete, maybe they were seeking to meet Minoans, however, their power was already past.
Macedonia extended its influence in west and the east. Epirus, Thrace, Paionia, Thessaly, Aetolia and Akarnia, the whole greek peninsula world was under control of Pella.
Macedonia proved to be a rich land. Defended by mountains and hills, had access to see and a lot of forests around. A rich source of copper was in the east and a source of fish was discovered in the west.
The first ancient kingdom just made contact with us. All-powerfull? God-king? Pericles?
Hmm, he seems a crazy man. Glad we aren't in the same continent thought Makednos. He just told him "happy to meet you stranger" and let Ramsess to go back to his homeland. Korinthians told Makednos to establish trade relations with Egypt, but he didn't trust other leaders. "We can make it our own." said and went back to his stone throne.
Korinthians had finished the temple to Deus and trained a boat. However, Korinthos was still a poor country. Korinthians decided to build an even larger temple in favour of Artemis hoping it will bless them better. Makednos grimaced, but without any better idea he let Korinthians to act at will. Moreover, he had refused them to trade with Egyptians. The viceroy was already loose, so going against their will might destroyed the viceroy, something that should be avoided by all means possible.
Masonry broke out in Greece. A rich marble source was discovered in Korinthos, restoring Korinthians' believes. "Gods didn't gave food yet, but they gave us a usefull resource right under our homes. We hope they will feed our population someday..."
The new technology will be a disaster for many people. Many greeks saw the neighbouring uncivilised people and seeked them to enslave them. "If they can't talk, but still have hands, why not making them work for us?" Strong opposition was held, including Makednos. Slavery movements spawned across the greek world. The revolution seemed inevitable. Many people from his court saw the opportunity to become kings. Makednos' age was about to end very soon.
