Is it possible to set it so that upon unit creation the Grigori would have a random (but small chance) of having a different human type race. It is thematic for them and their story line...

Maybe:

80%: None (regular human)
3%: Dwarven
3%: Elven
4%: Orcish
5%: Winterborn
5%: Nomad

with Sez's regular Grigori unit models with these other models, it would contribute to the appearance of a thrown together army of different races.

GIMMIE! And give that chance to adventurers too.

Wouldn't this fit the Kuriotates too, or even more? They are a collection of species, Humans and Centaurs in particular, but others too. They are basically the refugee camp of Erebus extinct species.

Yes, but elves, dwarves and orcs aren't exactly extinct species. I've wanted Musteval recon lines and Naga magic lines for the Kuriotates forever, those are pretty extinct species in Erebus (since they don't appear in the game at all). I think the differant racial promotions would fit the Grigori better, if the Kuriotates got differant species for their unit lines.

Grigori take in and are comprised of refugees from around the world. Kuriotates are more specific groups that joined up at the start to work together and make a great empire.
I think that's about right at least.

I didn't mean the races in your example, and I never disagreed about the suggestion. Just meant that Kuriotates were a better civ to diversify the races with. (With Nagas, etc)

Well Kuriotates will probably get naga magi once somebody creates the models for them.

Once Sez sobers up, and from what I get from the art thread, he will be working on Ferret men and Nagas(?). Lamia are already a work in progress By C.Roland. By the way whats the difference between Lamia and Nagas? (Gray Fox is aware of this possibly better than I seeing that he frequents that thread more than I...)

From Wikipedia:

Nagas, resembling giant snakes, vary in appearance. Some have humanoid heads and some are more snake-like, and the torso may or may not be covered in scales. Each type of naga has a certain amount of spell casting power.

Lamia are centaur-like creatures, resembling animals such as lions, goats and deer, with a human torso and head coming up from where the animal's head would usually be. The upper body is fully humanoid, however, not bearing animalistic features such as scales, horns or fur.

Lamia is half human half snake/serpent I think, and Naga is a (humanoid?) snake/serpent creature.

In traditional mythology Lamia was just a specific naga. Naga being a half snake half humanoid.

I don't recall any official word that the ferret men will ever be added, but I believe that the Lamia are only waiting to be animated. The art is done, but rigging it could be tricky.

seZ said he wanted ferret men. so its probably a done deal.

Not necessarily. I believe that Kael himself was not too keen on the idea. He could probably be convinced if the Musteval graphics were already made though. I think the pic shown in the thread had a posture like that of FfH's werewolves, so they wouldn't really require special animations like Lamiae would.

Well I hope he lets the musteval's in, even if their just the graphics and don't get any specials, it's kinda weird for the Kuriotates only having centaurs.

I always thought that Lamias would be sent in for all those hormone crazed people that posted on the thread, i was under the immpression that they were mostly a female species.

Well I don't mind more chicks. Though they have hard time competing with Brigit. Wings, pointy ears, not too much clothes, great lore, power (affinity) and <bImmortal>1</bImmortal>...what's not to love?

That's mostly just D&D Lamia. Real-world mythical Lamia was a Queen of Libya who became a child eating demon, often represented as having the lower body of a serpent. She might also have been mother of Scylla. I tend to think FFH's Lamia are more like the Greek mythalogical type, expet like most don't eat children and arn't demons. (They were created by mages in the age of Magic.)
