The Argentine UU has been changed to Caballería. It replaces Infantry for them and uses the Reiter graphic (the Argetine military wore German uniform back in the day). I didn't use the Waffen graphic because the of the gun it's using, besides the Reiter is more interesting anyway.

WTF? "Men of Valor"? Explain! I am Israeli and have no idea what the hell that is! I think that the Merkava mk. III should be the UU, as it is a unique unit to israel and surpasses many other modern armor units....

Men of Valor is from the First Testiment. That would be their Golden age, right?

Frankly, I think that as bad as we are doing now, this is as good as we've ever been. Our fore-fathers were nomads who never had heir own country for long. WE are now an established nations with many accomplishements, though some, like the occupation are comepletely terrible, it's biggerr than what we had a few thousands of years ago. Maybe the pioneer would be an appropriate UU. When the state of Israel was formed the country was a wreck. Maybe a scout with limited fighting ability and full terraform ability would be nice. how about a late industrial 4.4.1 (all terrain as roads)(irrigate, mine, road,RR,colony, join city) costs a bit more than infantry, available with motorized trans, replaces worker (though it whould upgrade back to the normal worker at some point, so Israel wouldn't have a huge advantage forever)
Just a suggestion for the UU, and please make a late GA....

Hey, I completely agree with you. Unfortunetly I already have too many UU's for later in the game and too little early. Countries that never had a Golden Age like Bolivia have to have recent UU's. I have to even out the mod. I appreciatte your input and it has me rethinking some decisions.

Man, it DOES look cool, but if you are adding the "Cristo Redentor", perhaps you should also consider to add Brazil as a CIV as well.

Well, actually, i am one of the moderators of a CIV3 site here in Brazil.

We made our own brazilian CIV (2 versions), that is already avaiable, altough being submited to a few improvements (for example, creating our own leader heads). We always have replaced tye Iroquois, but we are working in ways to add it without taking other away.

Version one is comercial/expansionist, the leader is the King Don Pedro I and the UU is called "bandeirante", it's an improved settler.

Version 2 is comercial/industrious, the leader is the President Getulio Vargas and the UU is the "pracinha", an infantry with lower cost (that was the main brazilian force in Italy during WWII).

I really don't know how the "bandeirante" and the "pracinha" are called in english, i'm afraid...

Some people talk about a new UU, the jungle soldier, a kind of marine specialized in jungle terrain, but we didn't really discuss it much already.

I can post what we have so far if you wish...

    regards :) .

Hmmm... that would be great if you don't mind.

The only civ's I can see getting rid of are France, Egypt or England.

Unfortunatley France is important for Italian history (Italy is a major part of fighting terrorism, that's why they're in the mod) but Germany is much more important in Italian history so France can go if need be.

Egypt is a major part in the Che Guevara theme (him and Nasser were good friends and polital partners) but Egypt really doesn't seem to fit in the mod except evening out the UU's.

And England is a huge part of everything, but nobody's going to want to be them unless I change their UU to longbowman (which I might do).

Overall, I think France is the best bet to get rid of. Besides, Napolean looks akward in the mix of leaders, being the oldest leader by far. I'd like some people to give me their opinion on this.

I'm very interested in the Bandeirante version of Brazil. Tell me more about it. It could add alot to the mod. What are the stats? Is there a different flic? (if not I can make one)

I will give you and your group complete credit to the Brazilian civ in the mod credits and a link or two on the website.

Also, I'm assuming Brazil would be a non-Guerilla civ (the differenace: Guerilla civs have Guerillero, and Non-Guerilla civs have Special Ops).

    Hi sween,

    I´m one of the Civ3 Brasil´s moderators, i´m cordenating the Brazil´s MODs.

The bandeirante, is a changed settler, his ADM is 1/1/2, but, we haven´t create any new flic for this unit...

As Fredlc said, we have two version, but soon, we´ll update those versions, all the version 1´s files are done, the new things that they will have, are the leader´s pictures, replacing the hiwatha´s one. But, i´m having lots of troubles to create an .exe file that automatcaly installs al...:(

Here, there are some leader´s pictures, for the two versions:

    D.Pedro I (version 1):

    Getúlio Vargas (version 2):

Lots of thanks for your help!!:)

Lately, i´ll send you the files, ok??

I can take care of the leaderheads myself for this mod. The leaderheads are done differently.

Is there a pre. to the UU? If not, is it more expensive then a regular settler, or the same price?

If there isn't a pre. I'm going to change it to Map Making or maybe something later so they don't bust out in the very beginning.

What would you suggest for a the UU graphics?

How about I take the explorer, give him a coat and pants but keep the helmet, and give him a backback?
