Guess quotes from video games!

@Farm Boy you got some answer here, is it right?
Yes, that's Zero Wing (I never played that either, but it's used as an after-game AI-quote in Civ3 -- for a Domination loss, IIRC).

How about:

"I'd hang that over my fireplace -- if I had a fireplace!"

(I think that's how the quote goes, but it's been a while since I played this one)

"The last Metroid is in captivity, the galaxy is at peace"

Btw, this is from snes game, Super Metroid, this game is important because this game together with castlevania series form a huge genre that we know today as "Metroidvania"'s genre.

Here is the quotation showed before the cover started:

I'll add another quotation:

I don't know you, and I don't care to know you!

"I'd hang that over my fireplace -- if I had a fireplace!"

Hmmmm, I don't have any idea, I thought I play a lot of game, but so far I'm not yet able to guess even 1 question right.

Part of this like a lyric of a song, another part is like poetry, the rest of it sound like a threat:

"hey I know about your sister and that little game she play, but I'm not threatening anyone here, mind you, I'm not even being serious, well unless you force me to"

Is the genre of the game is thriller or horror? I can imagine game like Clock-Tower can have a quotation like this.
Its an RPG and if you played it you'd recognise it immediately ;)

Hints, if you want them:
Spoiler :
This game is a couple of years older than Civ3. The quote is not story-relevant as such, but is one of the random things that some of the NPCs might say.

I don't know you, and I don't care to know you!

Seriously, no one know from which game this quotation from?

Clue:

This is an open world rpg game! Super famous!

That's my favorite genre. Is this pc rpg or console? from which year? 90s? early 2000s? 2010s? or new?

So the genre must be rpg.

Its a 90's PC RPG, part of a famous series ;)

I still playing console during 90s. I just know famous pcs rpg through reading mostly and watching some lets play.

Famous pc 90s rpg that I can think of are ultima and baldur gate. Never tried any of them, my first experience of that kind of rpg was never-winter-night.

Perhaps that quotation is from Baldur Gate? I remember the game let you start from a weak commoner, then you slowly climb up to become a formidable character as the series go. Perhaps your reason of adventure is to save your sister?

Just guessing.

I think I remember that from one of Quest for Glory games. But there are so many memorable quotes in those....

So the genre must be rpg.
The game I was thinking of can be described with a 3-letter acronym, but the acronym is not "RPG".

It also occurred to me later on that my quote may have been from one of the game's expansions, rather than the original.

Are we just throwing out quotes for people to guess, or is it like guess the map where it's passed over?

First page was a little confusing. might just be tired

Lmaaao Thank you for letting me know that the thread is not clear enough, I'll do some editing on the first page!

Anyway you are right, we are just throwing quote from video-games while other can guess from which game the quote is originated.

Because there are so many games around and it will be hard if we take the quiz by turn, not to let the thread stall and freeze, and to makes it keep rolling, you can just throw any quote you want for other to guess even though there are already 1 or more on-going quote still left un-answered.

And feel free to reveal the origin when you think the quote not been answered long enough.

So Angst, what is your quote ;)

RTS? Real time strategy?

Alright then! It's a fun game.

So my quote is:

"Still sane, Exile?"

If this is going to be an organised game, the current quotes should be collated and posted each time a new quote is posted, otherwise things are going to get entirely too chaotic.

But I thought chaos is good, chaos is order, chaos is civilization.

Spoiler :
Nah nah nah joking, I will pin some of the quotes and the one already answered in the first post so people can check it out, thank you for the suggestion Arakhor ;)

I'll give my answer before this sinks into oblivion. The game was Elder Scrolls: Redguard.

Bruh, I never play red-guard, that's awesome you play it, I heard it's quite a fail product though. I've tried Dagger Fall, but I cannot keep myself engaged even after a few hours.

I don't know you, and I don't care to know you!

Alright, no one know this? this is from Oblivion, a very 21st century-ish quote:

Looks like you are not in on certain popular things ;) GoG has a fairly good stable release, but again, it is an old game.

Never really play pc rpg until... 2000-ish? Before that my rpg experience mostly on consoles. It would be awesome though to play pc rpg early there are lots of huge titles that I never try.

No, the other other 3-letter acronym: FPS

And I just looked up a walkthrough on YouTube, and the quote is from one of the expansions, but I didn't get it quite right.

It should be: "I'd love to hang that over my fireplace! You know, if I had one".

I'm reading it in Duke Nukem's voice, not that this is for any particular reason.
