... et voilà!!! Hsien-yang and Wei river valley ( and a section of Ordos too... ).
Chan Kuo is almost done, and once I'll have Ch'in armies placed on the map, it will be released soon.

Wow! It looks great! I am looking forward to play it!!! <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>

What is the storyline of your scenario? At first I thought it's related to Romance of Three Kingdoms, but then I realize Ch'in was not one of the three kingdoms.

It's about the end of feudal China... In 1027, Chou defeated Shang and created a feudal sistem by giving lands to administrate to their relatives, but in 771 BC they were defeated by barbarians and forced to move to Loyang-Luoyi, in central China, but soon feudal states started an horrile wars' series to gain supremacy. At first - the Chun Qiu period - chinese emperor demanded to the strongest feudal lord ( Ba, or Lord Protector ) to punish rebels, but when Kou-chien, lord of Yueh, become Lord Protector, it was clear that this system failed and big feudal states begun to exterminate little ones, especially after the "splitting" of the biggest state, Chin, into three smaller feudal states of Han, Chao and Wei. This left only Ch'i, Ch'u and Ch'in to compete for supremacy. At first Ch'u was the strongest, but only until their general Wu Chi was killed. Then Ch'i gained supremacy thanks to Sun Pin, another brilliant general, but failed to stop Ch'in. From 403 BC, Ch'in adopted legalist laws, defeated northern barbarians, and suddenly conquered Shu and Pa states in 316; Lord Zhao proclaimed himself Western emperor in 288 BC and then estinguished Chou in 249. But conquer remaining feudal states was another history... The scen starts with the Han kingdom destruction at the hands of Yin Zheng, Lord Zhao descendant, after a desperate revolt, and stop at 210 BC, year of his death.

This is the one I have been waiting for Prometeus...ever since you let me play the map. I've been thinking about this scenario. So, far...I'd have to say that the graphics really look like they deliver what you are suggesting...

Thanks for the update, and I am available for play-testing (as always!).

Oh Prometeus?
I'll probably seem to be stupid but I have difficulties to interprete your icons, it seems to me there's cities, forts, villages , but I have difficulties to say what Is what... Could you put me in the picture? Thank you!

Yup, it's pretty tricky indeed... but first let me say one thing... no villages will be available on this scen. This scen is dedicated almost to bloody battles and little more. What you interpreted as villages, are minings ( blue ones ) or farmlands ( you were meaning grey huts near cities, right ? ). Barbarian huts and horses on the top of screenshot are barbarian units - and believe me better not to kill these units, or you'll put yourself in a s.. ahem, horde of troubles... the different cities' look is related to chinese construction techniques. For small townships, they used hangtu i.e. compressed terrain to build walls. the bigger the cities, the more stone was used for walls, expecially near mountains. The weird wall in front of barbarian huts is a fortification.

A few more previews of what's coming out...

Big cities to conquer...

Barbarian units as resources...

0 movement settler units, if killed, are the same reward as a barbarian scout, if killed... so you'll have to kill them in order to gain money.

Hey!!! Don't say I'm stealing your ideas... You put them in a public forum so

Plus I've used 0 units before (Force fields, special defensive units) but not in this way. Very cool!!!

Did you guys read about the 0 terrian trick at Apolyton Set the terrian cost to 0 and it's like a railroad. But it only works for land units So no wormholes, slipstream, and subspace shortcuts for my star trek scenario.
