[BNW] Gunboat Diplomacy (Autocracy)

Regarding this tenet of Autocracy, the Civ using this gains 6 influence per turn with CS's it could demand tribute from (plus their military is 50% more effective at getting tribute).

Question is - does a pledge to protect by another Civilization diminish the capacity the Civ with Gunboat diplomacy to gain this tribute?

Yes, pledges to protect by civs always reduce tribute-ability for other civs
