Me too, I have truely black hair ! Actually, well... actually, I like my hair colour and I don't understand why we are necessarily uglier simply because of the colour of our hair. Does all these men have all the same tastes ?

How beautiful! Mine's dark brown with natural red that you can only see in the bright sun. (All natural, no dye. I think it's silly to color my hair at my age) Lots of guys like dark hair, though. Some find it exotic and beautiful. :)

You're lucky, that sounds truely beautiful. :) Actually my boyfriend told me that in the bright sun I had violet-blue reflects...well actually he's the only one who told me that... but since I like it, I love to tell it. ;)

actaully, its been a scientificlally verified fact that males prefer brunettes with long hair- light brown is showed to be most preferd, and females apeerntlly prefer dark haired maled

Oh thanks. :) I didn't know black hair reflected in such cool colors! Cool fact. :)

My hair looks like this.

that said, I prefer natual brunettes, and girls with black hair, often who have it died to a non-natual colour, no real reason, just kinky that way I guess :p

So you say the change of my hair colour was evolution in action to increase my chances to reproduce?

Most people (male, heterosexual ones) I know, including myself, do actually prefer women to have darker hair, though most, including myself, don't really care.

Absolutely, the "guys like blondes" myth is just that. A myth! :D Statistically guys will go for the long-haired, light brunettes. I must be an anomaly though, because I prefer girls with really dark brown hair - but not black ;) Darker than Evie's though :p

Actually, natural blondes were preferred in the past when disease was rampant. Natural blondes were always lighter skinned and you could tell easily if they had jaundice or not. The brunettes were generally darker and harder to tell if they were healthy or not. Long hair signified health because you could see the health of the girl over time. Kinda like rings in the trunk of a tree. ;)

actually, its easies tto tell if a person has jaundice on a light skinned, dark haird person- which is the reason scientist think that the prefernce for bruienettes is built in to our systemsd- to help get the healthiest mate

I heard the blonde jokes might derive from the usually dark haired Romans making fun of the Northern barbarians.

::waits for Xen to magically appear with real story::

more then likelly thats the truth I wouldt put it past old great X 52 grandpa Tiberius ;)

I would also imagine that light skin (which often comes along with blondness), especially if maintained, would indicate that one could afford slaves, peasants, serfs, whatnot, and therefore did not have to work outside in the sun, which would tan the skin.

It's the excuse I use for staying pale, at least.

That is also why the fashion in medieval Europe was for lords and kings to have long fingernails and wear heels. Along with the wigs and long robes, it was all essentially a symbology which highlighted the proud laziness of the ultrarich :D

I don't cut my nails either, but I draw the line at wearing high heels.
