Hair Color Myths

If you have gray hair you're old. That's not true because I know people in their teens with strands of gray.

Its been my experience that blonde girls get passed around more at parties than darker haired girls.

I heard the blonde jokes might derive from the usually dark haired Romans making fun of the Northern barbarians.

This is actually partly true. The Roman literature rarely speaks flattering about blondes.

Yes, Simon does occasionaly enjoy torturing a red-haired boy every now and then.

None of the Weasleys ever complain about a bit of rougher than usual handling. :ack:

As a Northern barbarian myself, I can attest to the fact that many of the Roman ideas about us are exaggerated. We are an intelligent and industrious people with a strong sense of family and a great love of learning. We also feel stereotypes to be absurd. But then, we wouldn't expect any better from the bloody Romans. Bunch of lazy, drunken pansies, all of 'em. ;)

My own hair is blond, but less so than it used to be. It's gotten darker as I've aged. My own taste in female hair regards its color as largely irrelevant. It can be blonde or brown, black or purple, and it makes no difference to me.
