Hammers from religious buildings?

In a recent hotseat allied game I was playing with a friend, we somehow made it so that all Hindu buildings give +2 hammers. We have no clue just how we triggered this. Anyone know what's going on? (hindu temples are now quite attractive to build though... wheee)

If you're a full member of the AP, all your religions buildings of the AP's religion get a 2 hammer bonus. You lose this bonus if you defy an AP resolution, but get it back if you vote Yes on a resolution that passes.

The entry on the palace doesn't say anything about hammers from religious buildings that i've noticed...? could you elaborate more? Is this some event?

What BalbanesBeoulve said is correct.

The Apostolic Palace is a World Wonder unlocked by Theology.

When it is built, the state religion of the civ who built it becomes the "AP Religion" (in your case: Hinduism).

Any civs also running that religion as their state religion become Full Members. A bonus mentioned only in the Civopedia is that all AP-State Religion buildings gain +2 :hammers: (for a total of +6 for Temple, Monastery & Cathedral.)

Any civs not running the AP religion as their state religion but who have at least one city with the AP religion present become Voting Members.

-- hope that clarifies things a lil.

That explains a lot

I was actually Jewish, but my ally was hindu, so i got the hindu-building bonuses. Irritatingly enough, he got the Univ of Saklore (which i built) bonuses on his Hindu buildings rather than his Jewish ones.... so he had to build less stuff. Hotseat alliance games are odd like that.
