Looking for some tips, I'm a new player but trying to hand at monarch
Setting:
Pangea
Normal speed
Hannibal
Turn 80
Three cities, huge land but got in trouble due to low food near my capital, one grassland corn to start. Since I didn't meet anyone until ~T70 I had stone to my north, settled my third city and thought I could go for the pyramids, but now I'm thinking there's not enough food for a specialist economy and should have probably expanded much more by now.

After hooking stone and starting on the pyramids I met Monty to my NW and I'm sure he'll DoW me soon enough so now have to change my entire strategy?
Mainly looking for help with this map with low food, and lot's of land after going for the mids but ended up having to change course. I'm new so let me know if more details are needed, thanks!

Hard to see anything on that map so post some zoomed in screenshots. Include a save as well.

Looks like you have been slow expanding here. 900bc with 3 cities is slow.

Unless you plan to build pyramids avoid stone. Even so there were other priorities here.

The lack of food here is alarming.
Double clam site and fish/copper site could of been settled. Albeit too far from capital normally.
Horse city 1S would of eventually had pigs. Which is a slight shame. I guess it can help with cottages in your capital.
Stone city looks to have 1 flood plain and not much else. Least river connects it to capital.

Thanks for the help! I decided to scratch this game and post a T0 save. For the sake of improving it's better than trying to salvage this game.
