[RD] Hannity just incited Mueller witnesses to obstruct justice

I'm not a lawyer but Hannity's trolling is not incitement. It's not posed as advice but as a rhetorical argument

The real takeaway for me is this is just more typical, rank Hillary whataboutism.

Then you acknowledge some of the felonies we know to have occurred. Each email is a separate crime and all that.

The point is the obvious, and odious, double standard.

No, he doesn't. He says her phones were destroyed routinely when she left office, you claim that he is acknowledging that the routine activity was a felony. We might not be allowed to call you a liar, but you really need to stop saying that other posters are saying things that they plainly are not saying.

I don't think so ... he's trying to paint Hillary's behavior as criminal, not suggest that what they're doing is okay 'because whatabout Hillary'

I need some help with this. Isn't "because whatabout Hillary" the most basic core element of "rank Hillary whataboutism"? Maybe if we hadn't had to delay while the thread got re-railed I'd have kept up better.

Anyway, I hope Mueller takes this to heart. We've already seen one Trump crony subjected to a no-knock warrant because a judge found it credible that he would destroy evidence, and another Trump crony faces bail revocation due to a witness tampering charge that looks like it can't help but stick. Then we have the front man of the Trump propaganda machine openly advocating for destruction of evidence. I would love to see Mueller and the issuing judges just say that under the circumstances any Trump associate that is subject to a warrant clearly merits a no-knock midnight raid by a SWAT team.

That's still the basic root of Hillary whataboutism. The propaganda machine has created an environment in the echo chamber where Trump's claim about how he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose a supporter is not only true, but understated. The deplorables are so far gone that their response would be "Hillary did worse and got away with it, <shrug>." Breitbarf, et al, have carried more than enough stories about the people that "the Clintons have had murdered."

At this point no matter what Mueller finds and how much evidence he has it will make no difference, because to the deplorables there is no "rule of law." They are convinced that Democrats abandoned it and for conservatives to allow themselves to be handicapped by law abiding is just foolish and dangerous. There is no crime that Trump or his cronies could be caught committing that the deplorables have not already been told that Clinton or Obama got away with.

Almost as if there's a plan in there somewhere . . . .

The purpose of which is to:
a. Re-direct attention to Hillary's "crimes" as opposed to what Trump and the Republicans are doing; and
b. To normalize the crimes, etc., of Trump and Co, by arguing that "Hillary did it first!"

In other words... textbook Hillary whataboutism.

:yup:

Let me be the first of the Elitist Libs to say I will happily offer Hillary Clinton as Donald Trump's cellmate.

I wouldn't even wish that on Ivanka, or Kellyanne Conway. I'm not saying Hillary Clinton is blameless or that maybe she shouldn't go to prison, but she certainly doesn't deserve that.

I just think it's important to make it clear that Clinton whataboutism has no currency. Any time a right wing twit brings up Hillary Clinton, it should be taken as an admission that Donald Trump is guilty of treason against the United States.

I'm not watching that as he doesn't have a tin foil hat. Therefore he is obviously an Illuminati puppet.

Who would make a good cellmate for Donny?
And who should Hillary be paired up with?

More to the OP, i'm not so sure about the witnesses following Hannity's advice 'cause that runs the risk of being compared with Hillary. Not something these guys would want.

Some people do not need tin foils. They narrow mind and intellectual laziness is shielding them enough.

Given that Hannity had the same lawyer as Trump and speaks to Trump every single night before bed... Yeah, I'd say he is involved and talking about and encouraging people to destroy evidence really should land him in prison. At least in a just world which I recognize that our world is rarely just.
