I was playing the Samurai Invasion scenario as Japan. When taking cities from Korea, the happines went slightly up sometimes surprisingly, but i didnt payed much attention to it. I thought it was maybe because of the trade routes and the luxury resources. I builded courthouses, but there were only a few finished by turn 34. Still, my happines was around 10

At turn 34, i make some bad moves and lose two units. So i reload the autosave of turn 30, and suddenly its at -109. what happened?

restarted the scenario, and then try to reload at a certain point. Same problem happened

Apparently, when you start the scenario, happines from occupied citizens/cities isnt calculated in. Only when you reload. Which makes this scenario way harder. How can you keep your momentum and reach bejing in time if you have -20 happines after 10 turns? Even when you build courthouses (which take a while cause nothing is improved), you'll still have rebels popping up, along with the righteous army

Anyone got any advice/solutions?

Can at least someone check whether they have this problem too? Im veryfing the integreti now, although i dont think that will do much

This is a known bug that occurs when reloading saves. For example, see this thread. I thought it had been fixed. Perhaps it wasn't fixed for the scenario.

Thanks for the first reply :) Unfortunatly that thread is over 1.5y old. I never had the bug with normal games (non-scenario)
