Happiness focus

Could this be done?

Adding a new fous for the governor, that minimizes the amout of unhappiniess that is generated by the city? would help a lot in certain situations.
 
I know we discussed at one point that each focus would reduce a need. So for example, culture focus reducing boredom.

Did that actually go in to the mod, I can't remember.

nono those are processes and did go into the mod (really big -25% is no small number to laugh at)

He's talking about Happiness Focus like Food Focus, and Default Focus which doesn't really exist since Happiness Focus is all about increasing the yields enough to reduce unhappiness which is already what Default Focus do.
 
Well, i observerd that the gov really likes specialists - which can add serious amounts of specialists unhappiness.

Example of my current game:
Default (all cities default focus): - 20 happiness

I set all cities to stop growth to stop the situation from becoming worse. Govs set specialists, happiness -50

Selecting "manually control citicens" forces them all to the fiels, happiness +20.

So it's not yields alone.

In a lot of cases, changing my focus by governour didnt change that much happiness wise +/- 1
The old suggestion to go for specialists to avoid growth and decrease unhappiness isnt true anymore.
