My own dad died just over 3 years ago, and I still miss him terribly.
One story I told his nurses at the seniors' home was about his many hats. He had a method for acquiring his hat collection. He'd wear a competitor's hat into any hardware store, gas station, equipment store, or whatever... and someone was sure to offer him one of their company's hats. Over the years he'd managed to accumulate over a dozen hats, and he'd acquired a few more at the seniors' home (not sure how he managed that, but I saw 3 of them hanging on a hook).
