Tried to play some Civilization, but I am constantly thinking how I wish there was the Civ 7 diplo system, commanders, new great rivers, the AMAZING graphics, Independet people etc.
I am more hyped for this game than any of the previous ones, sadly now the older civs feel obsolete!
I think that Commanders will help prevent traffic jams in long distance movement, especially with the reinforce feature (which I think is actually a bigger deal than the hoover function), but I don't think they will help resolve traffic jams that happen around a contested objective. It doesn't sound like hoovering units in contact with the enemy is going to be advisable or perhaps even possible.
I started a few games of Civ6 a couple of weeks ago, but I already feel like I've outgrown the game. It's as if my mind is focused on Civ7, making Civ6 feel like the past, just as Civ5 did when Civ6 was announced. I played a lot of Civ5, winning perhaps dozens of cultural victories, but I remember only playing one or two games of it after getting Civ6. I'm really excited for the new mechanics in Civ7 and for playing civs I've never tried before (like the Mississippians, Maurya, and Aksum), so now I'm just waiting for Civ7.
I had been playing Civ 5, which was fun after not playing it for 8 years. But I think I'm burned out on it at this point. I thought of starting a new Civ 6 game, but I'm thoroughly burned out on that game. I have like over 4000 hours in it. Though I did play the challenge, but I don't consider that a complete game since it's so short (though the current challenge does take time due to massive numbers of units).
I do expect I'll play a little more Civ 5 before release of 7, and who knows, maybe even Civ 4. My last game of Civ 4 last December I never finished, so doubtful.
