Has anyone had aliens attack/siege their capital?

i see they remove cities from players but what about capitals? i was thinking i want to try some 'raging' aliens and on a hard difficulty and watch everyone die lol

They can take out capitals-I watched a preview where a player stated that on their first game they were killed by a siege worm. (At least, I think that's what he said)

i didnt even know siege worms would directly attack cities, hm

I'm pretty sure all aliens can attack cities if you've pissed them off enough.

I remember seeing a preview where two siege worms killed off the player's only city and ended the game.

I think it was one of those game site previews.

That's weird, the icons for those worms are green, indicating that they're not even angry at the player.

Maybe the icons hadn't been implemented yet, or the video was just for show. In any case the ultrasonic fence is cheap, so it's unlikely that you could lose your capital in this fashion.
