At he end of the interview he says

"Whether it be Afghanistan or Iraq, we got more work to do. We the free world has more work to do, and I believe those of us who live in liberty have a responsibility to promote forms of government that deal with what causes 19 kids to get on airplanes to kill 3000 students."

What is he talking about?!

maybe the fact that many people are recruited of the high level education circuit?
look at the hijackers, most of them had big degrees...
but when he said "19 kids" he just did another silly old busherism

Well, IIRC the 911 hijackers were all young men. People in their mid 20s might not seem like kids to the relative youth of CFC but to 60+ year old George W things might seem different.

At any rate, it doesn't really matter.

19 kids I get. 3000 students is the bit that doesn't make sense.

Real students would have been in bed at the time of the attacks.

This makes perfect sense. You have to understand that people often speak form their own perspective. In the United States, it is common for the middle aged to refer to people in their 20's and 30's as kids. I'm nowhere near middle-aged, but I have begun to do the same thing. To me, a 20-year-old is a kid.

Edit: Oops, never mind. The "3000 students" somehow escaped my attention. That part is kinda' weird.

I think Kucinich had a point....

That stupid monkey misspoke again. Lets jump all over it like its a big deal. Because no one else ever says something wrong.

"Lost it?" He never had it.

I agree that people tend play this card a bit too much, but jeebus christo, he's the president for crying out loud.

Even so I can forgive an occasional mis-statement, but never in my life have I witnessed someone who so consistently makes gross mistakes when speaking. Even more astounding, he often makes those mistakes when reading prepared statements.

And, when I say no-one, I mean, no-one. Not Clinton. Not Bush Sr. Not Reagan. Not Alan Greenspan. Not Al Gore. Not Michael J. Fox. Not Kid Rock. Not my kids 2nd grade teacher. Not my kid. Not My Pet Goat.

You have a pet goat?

You don't?

At any rate, I agree with what Shane said. A few mistakes every now and then is acceptable but sometimes I wonder about him.

I don't call my lover a pet.

You should hear the guy I use to rent a room to. He was brilliant but couldn't talk right to save his life. There was just something about his brain and how it was wired to speech.
