Has the AI ever accepted a "counter" proposal in your games?

I play on HK difficulty and it literally NEVER happened.

I had this happen often at some point, but I can't say at which patch/difficulty.

I started countering any AI offer that I did not particularly care about, and while the vast majority of time nothing results of it, sometimes the AI will accept. I am not sure, but I suspect it has to do with a difference in power, where you could just as well invade and conquer. Anyway, can definitely say it is a lot less intense then my high risk-reward habit of making demands of rivals Usually play Empire-Humankind.

This has been asked in the G2G forums, and a Dev has aknowlodged that there is an issue here.

In short, he said that the AI only stockpiles gold for specific goals, so it rarely has enough gold to accept a counter-proposal.

I mean, is that an issue? I also only stockpile gold for specific goals, so I rarely have enough to accept a counter-proposal until spending on rush-buys is way more expensive than my income.

Also, yeah they've accepted.
