Hate crimes in Russia targeting blacks, muslims, asians and ...

... even white Americans. Sorry if this has been posted and discussed but I found it poignant and important.

Two things jump out to me:

1. The authorities are doing nothing about it. This is what scares me the most. You have hate crimes in the US, Europe and other countries. But the authorities do do something about it. This is a major concern. Russia is no longer a superpower but it wants to be again. This is what scares me the most.

2. A sobering last thought about how millions of Russians died fighting fascism and nazi Germany. I know, that they're poor and uneducated and still somebody must tell them what they're really doing and why they shouldn't be doing it.

I hear neo-Nazi groups are really active in Russia right now, which is sad and ironic. I think the government is letting this go since it's an expression of Russian nationalism. It maybe extreme but Putin can easily exploit nationalism to his own benefit.

I'm sure everyone has seen the videos on YouTube. Anyway, everyone has a mandatory white supremest friend, and mine glorifies Hitler/Mussolini and wants to move to Russia because of stuff like this. I wish there was a way we could hatch his head open and study this abnormal beast.

I don't see how it's ironic. Russia's innate system is authortarian regardless of its economic system.
