Haven't played FFH2 since 0.23. What'd I miss?

I think the title says it all. I was never interested in getting Beyond the Sword when it came out, so I could never install any FFH2 version after 0.23. And as a result, FFH2 eventually dropped off my radar. Well, I finally have BtS now... so what'd I miss?

where to start...
new civs (or at least, a lot more worked out): Svalt recon elves, sidar shading (any unit with a lvl of 6 or higher can be turned into a super specialist), doviello raiders, illian winter-bringers (rituals and unique temples and spells).

The merger of sorcery and summoning, check out xienwolf's manual for the new spell chart.
Tech tree reworked around iron working and the mounted line.
Scenario's to play (play a scenario -> FFH scenario's)
Reworked armageddon.
Loads more i can't think of right now, 0.23 has kinda faded from my memory :p

Two new diplomacy based religions. Empyrean is associated with the Overcouncil, which is similar to the UN.
Council of Esus is less of a religion and more of a crime syndicate. Associated with the Undercouncil, it doesn't have Priests or Temples but instead gives you a variety of recon/deception/stealth based units and buildings.

Tons of new art. The Ai is much better. The game is much faster. Lots of new game options.

Like, everything. I got into the game at about 0.32 or something, and i feel that it's a completely new game now.

Everything is neatly balanced, you can explore lairs, a lot of new UUs, very unique civs.

Abandon all your preconceptions and experience Fall From Heaven 2 again, for the first time!

don't forget the Card game!

Taken from xeinwolf's manuel:
Somnium is a cardgame developed by Sto for entertainment while awaiting your opponents during a Multiplayer game, or
just as an alternative to Fall from Heaven when playing on your own.
Somnium allows you to play cards against any AI whom you have met and are not at War with for a chance to gain a small
change in relations with that leader. This change is minor and is not meant to be significant in any manner.
To play the game, you simply draw cards from the deck numbered 3 to 7. Should you draw a card matching the suit of a
cardd you already possess, all drawn cards are discarded and your turn ends. At any time you may decide to stop drawing
and save your cards to the bank. There are 10 Suits total with 5 cards per suit and 4 special cards.
Play continues until all 54 Cards in the deck have been drawn.
Drawing the Fool card allows you to steal 1 banked card from you opponent, but that card is added to your current draw
pile, so also increases the chances of gaining a duplicated suit and having to discard your recent draw.
Drawing the Death card will cause you to lose all cards drawn for this turn and immediately pass the turn to the other player.
Score at the end of the game is determined by the highest ranking card in each different suit. These are added together and
the highest total is the winner.

Yeah, I love me some Somnium, always betting my diplomatic relations on it.

It is a brand new game, also check out Fall Further and Orbis Mod

hmm, I'm getting crashes to desktop with the following:
Any ideas? BtS itself works fine.

edit: hmm, it looks like it didn't patch to 3.17. lemme try that...

edit2: yup! that fixed it
