OK I'm done. My set was not boring-Egypt demanded Amphibious War, and I said no. They DoWed us, being the stupidest move of their lives.
We lost 5 units-They lost 33 and 12 cities.

Their remaining 3 cities should bite the dust next turn.

Also, Kyoto now has a Research Lab and Seti Program (Rushed by a MGL)
We also have another MGL sitting in Kyoto waiting for something to do.

The set:
Spoiler :
Turn 0-I decide to change all cities to building Research Labs. It's not like we need anymore troops.

IBT-ZZZZ

Turn 1-1792 AD-Fortify some mechs.

We'll, that's it. Talk about a blitz, that's 12 cities down in 4 turns.
I think all of the cities will fall bext turn-only 3 more, and 2 have no cultural expansions.

Well, that's it. Save is attached. Our win date has been cut down to 1806 AD, so the next person will be the one to destroy the Egyptians and win the game. Be sure to take good pics! ;)

So, anyone have any ideas for our next game? Monarch was pretty easy, maybe an Emperor Space Game?

Congratulations team! :goodjob::cool::)

Since we've already won Conquest and Culture, and Domination is impossible, I say head for Space Race on Monarch/Emperor.

For a civ, I think Scientific would be good. Perhaps the Greeks? That way we won't be so inclined to whoop our opponents in the AA, as our UU is defensive.

All in all, I'd like Space, but I'm flexible on Civ choice.

5CC? Emperor level Space Victory will certainly be a challenge as a 5CC. Getting all the resources will be tough. With Tassle having a case of civ-blahs, we are a shrinking team, so we might want to add a vic..recruit to help fill out the roster. The pool is getting a bit shallow of late, there's so few new players up to the commitment of SG's.

Congratulations guys!!!

That was quite a victory you pulled off.

I'll be looking for your next SG.

Hey, could someone else do the endgame pics? My PTW is acting a bit screwy right now.

If we're ahead in tech, getting the resources will be no problem. We'll be able to trade techs for gold, gpt and resources.

However, if you don't want do, maybe we can do diplomatic?
And I agree, we should pick somebody up.

I'm up to the space challenge on 5CC, but I want to be sure everyone else is. Emperor is a different game, so a tech lead is not assured. There will need to be lots of wheeling and dealing for tech, and being very careful about handling demands from the AI civs. Rarely will they make a demand and not DoW if refused. We might want a standard continents map and a Sci/Ind civ (Ottomans or Persia). I'd say make some starts and we recruit one or two more players, then we can start.

Sounds good. Hawk, can you make a thread so we can direct people there?

Bump! :bump: Anyone still out there?? Hawk, If you don't respond soon, I guess I'll make the thread for Hawk03.

However, I need votes on the following:

1. Condition: Space or Diplo
2. Level: Monarch or Emperor
3. Civ: Greece/Persia (Ruling out Otto's because that's what we were in Hawk01)

Also, with Tasslehoff (Probably) coming out of his Civblahs, we are back to 5 players. A 6th would be nice, so once the thread goes up, we'll advertise in the Registry.

1. Space sounds like a challenge, but a good challenge. 2. My proclivities lean toward Monarch, as Emperor may be too difficult as a 5CC. 3. Persia is stronger for a space run, their Industrious trait makes them great on PTW, stronger than Conquests' nerfed Ind trait. Their Scientific trait equals cheaper Libs, Unis, Research labs, and certain useful wonders (GLib, Copernicus, Newtons, SETI and Darwin, I think). Persia works for me.

OK-I agree with you-Monarch will make it easier to get new players.
The only thing I diasgree with is that our GA will probably be started by immos and not the wonders you mentioned. We don't want our UU to be going up against pikes. when we first use it.

Still waiting on Opinions from at least 2 of our 3 remaining players.

That is the single downside of Persia is the early GA if you war early(bet we will). The good side of Immos is that they are cheaper than Maces and are good for almost half the game. I think Persia is so strong that the early GA is only a small quibble to a top-tier civ. I would say Persia is probably in almost everyone's top 5, even in Conquests. I'd even consider Emperor level 5CC with them.

Since we're a 5CC, an early GA isn't as bad as it usually is. We'll have settled 5 cities early, so there's no 'I want to wait to have more cities before my GA.' Persia's good with me.

I'm more comfortable with a Monarch 5CC, but I think we could handle emperor, with favorable conditions and Persia.
