And... done. The Greco-Persian War has started, other people are settling the "empty zone", as I've pulled all the troops there away to fight Greece (We lost Coal and Spices, BTW). Also, they have a bunch of guys in our territory. On the bright side, I've burned a few of their cities, and gotten our gems back, despite having absolutely horrible luck with artillery. I guess the RNG only accepts my sacrifice of tacos when I'm using units that can actually kill something.
Pre-Turn (1575 AD):
-Everything looks good, hit enter.
IBT:
-The AI move a bunch of ships around, and Greece unloads a settler and guerrilla within the borders of Tegea (The isolated Greek city). Geez, settling in their own borders is killing us.
-Pasargadae: Stock Exchange->Granary, and I notice that it has enough spt to build Universal Suffrage in ten turns.
Turn 1 (1580 AD):
-Sink a redlined Mongol Ironclad and galleon, and bombard the crap out of a few of their ships. (2-0)
IBT:
-A Mongol Ironclad bombards a railroad to the east of Susa. This will surely spell our doom.
-And, guess what, Alex just came with an attitude:
I tell him to stick it up his you-know-what, I'm not giving you Electronics, and, big surprise:
-Greece proceeds to build the city of Apolyton with the borders of Tegea, but does not attack us.
-Pasargadae: Granary->Cav
Turn 2 (1585 AD):
-A Knight, a Cav, and a worker are all trapped within Apolytons borders. So, I send the Cav against the Guerrilla defending the city, and he retreats. I then proceed to attack with the Knight, who wins, and Apolyton is destroyed. (3-0)
-I Proceed to send a Cavalry to Tegea- which is apparently defended by Infantry. So much for taking it. Mytilene is also defended by Infantry. Time to bring out the artillery
-Which we only have 6 of, and are only helpful in letting me kill a Guerrilla near Mylitene (It was on a mountain, Im not going to attack it at full strength!). We need more
(4-0)
-I notice that Hannovers borders have expanded, meaning I have to pull the troops back a bit there.
IBT:
-Egypt and Aztecs sign a trade embargo against us. Didnt I tell you they were evil?
-Egypt also moves a pike and a settler through Tegeas borders.
-A Greek Inf makes one of our Cavs retreat.
-Persepolis: Stock Exchange->Artillery
-Pasargadae: Cav->Cav
-Susa: Inf->Inf
-Arbela: Arty->Arty
Turn 3 (1590 AD):
-Bombard an Infantry with 7 artillery, 6 of which miss. God, our artillery our useless.
IBT:
-Monty says the gods have told him to give us a chance to avoid our inevitable doom, for the price of Electricity. Uh, no.
-Mongolia unloads a Pike and 2 maces to the north of Pasargadae.
-I watch with glee as one of our ironclads defeats two attacking Greek Ironclads.  (6-0)
-Pollution strikes Persepolis. Meh, Pollution.
-Pasargadae: Cav->Cav
-Antioch: Stock Exchange->cav
Turn 4 (1595 AD):
-The earlier mentioned Mongolian invasion force has officially been owned. (9-0)
-I shell Apollonia. I then proceed to send in the Cavalry:
-Cav dies on Inf. (9-1)
-Misclick when trying to attack with a second cav

-Cav kills Inf (10-1)
-Cav dies on Inf (10-2), which promotes to elite
-And another one dies. (10-3)
-The uber-inf is then finally killed, and Apollonia is razed. (11-3)
-I decide to see if the Mongols will finally accept even peace- I ask him, and hell even give us 40 gold! I decide to accept, as this war is pointless and we need all of our troops fighting Greece, without a few being needed to fight off Mongolia.
IBT:
-A Grecian stack of doom containing 18 units appears near Hannover, they capture 2 of our workers, and they found Troy 1S of where Apollonia was.
-Persepolis: Arty->Arty
-Pasargadae: Cav->Cav
Turn 5 (1600 AD):
-Bombard Troy with 8 artillery, only one of which hits. CURSE YOU RNG!!!!!!!!!!
-Being me, I attack anyway, and then decide not to when my first Cav retreats without scratching the defending Infantry. Why, Artillery? Why????
-Reduce sci to 0 and put a scientist in Susa, Refining still in 1.
-I pull all the workers out of the neutral zone, the railroads let Greece move anywhere in it instantly and I dont want them taking all our workers. As this makes our barricade essentially useless anyway, I move a bunch of units around to defend the colonies and the border with Greece.
IBT:
-In battles, we lose two Knights, but kill a Cav and an Inf. (13-5)
-The Greek units move towards Antioch.
-An Aztec Galleon appears on our east coast.
-England and Germany both move settler pairs, probably towards our neutral zone. Germany I cant stop, but Englands pair mysteriously came from old Carthage, so I can keep them out.
-Egypt builds a city in old Carthage.
-We get Refining. I set research to Steel, which will complete in 10 turns at 80% Science.
-Pollution strikes Persepolis.
-Pasargadae: Cav->Cav
-Susa: Inf->Inf
-Arbela: Arty->Arty
-Antioch: Cav->Cav
Turn 6 (1605 AD):
-I see there are two Oil sources in the southern Tundra- and one is even in our territory!
-I tell Lizzie to get her goddamn settler out, but unfortunately, we dont get the Remove or Declare option.
-I once again bombard Troy, with only 2 out of 9 hits. Geez, RNG, what did I do to deserve this?
-Oh, it has two infantry now, BTW.
-Cav retreats to Hoplite on Mountain
-Cav kills said Hoplite (14-5)
-Immortal fails to even scratch an LBM

(14-6)
-A knight then kills it. (15-6)
IBT:
-The oh-so-considerate Egyptians build a city that destroys our Coal colony. Oh well, at least it blocks Germanys settler pair.
-Germany and Greece Embargo us.
-A Guerrilla kills a Knight and overruns one of our Ivory colonies. Whatever, so long as one survives. (15-7)
-Greece randomly moves a bunch of units around.
-Pollution, yet again, strikes Persepolis. These guys obviously dont know how to pick up their trash.
-Persepolis: Arty->Arty
-Pasargadae: Cav->Cav
-Alexandria, Egypt has finished building the Universal Suffrage.
Turn 7 (1610 AD):
-I once again bombard Troy, with 10 artillery, and ALL 10 OF THEM MISS.

-After sacrificing whoever it was firing them to the RNG gods, and hiring new people to fire them, I hope that my luck will improve.
-Kill a Cav and a Guerrilla. Oh well, at least our Cavs are better than our artillery. (17-7)
-The game still refuses to give me the Remove or Declare button when talking to Lizzie. Oh well, theyre blocked in the east by Susa and an Infantry.
IBT:
-And, An English settler pair appears- bye bye Spice colony.
-Greek Ironclads bombard the crap out of several of our units. Why cant our artillery do that?
-And, oh joy, Greek MDIs kill 2 of our cavalry and overrun our Ivory colony. (17-9)
-This is then followed by some amazing luck, with a redlined musket heroically defeating 4 attackers before finally dying, and I think some more assorted Greek units died against weaker foes. In any case, we lost a musket, a cav, and a knight, they lost 7 or 8 units. (25-12)
-Apparently, Germany has an RoP with Egypt because one of their settlers just showed up and built a city.
-Pasargadae: Cav->Cav
-Arbela: Arty->Arty
-Antioch: Cav->Cav
Turn 8 (1615 AD):
-Upon looking at the new German and English cities, I notice something odd: Since Germany and England dont have Steam Power, the building of their cities didnt have railroads, and actually destroyed the railroads on the tiles they were built on.
-I try, once again, to bombard Troy
-And finally, after all the bombardment, a WHOLE THREE ARTILLERY MANAGE TO HIT SOMETHING!!!

-Since, knowing the RNG, this is probably is weak as Im ever going to get the city, I decide to attack.
-Cav kills inf. (26-12)
-Cav dies on inf. (26-13)
-Cav kills Inf, the siege of Troy is finally over! (27-13)
-I then proceed to kill 3 MDI and Guerrilla, losing 3 Cavalry to the RNG. (31-16)
-And then I lose an Ironclad to an Aztec Galleon. (31-17)
-I rebuild the Ivory colony and make sure it is well defended, but our citizens are still unhappy. I up lux to 10%, solving the problem, for now. We need more luxuries
-I also turn sci down to 70, adding a turn to Steel but keeping us out of debt.
IBT:
-Lose two cavalry to an MDI and another Cav. (31-19) Greeces Ironclads are very annoying.
-Germany tells me that our infantry are in his territory and need to leave. Fine, fine.
-Persepolis: Arty->Arty
-Pasargadae: Cav->Cav
-Susa: Inf->Inf
Turn 9 (1620 AD):
-Oh, fabulous, WW has hit us.
-Kill a Cav with a Knight. (32-19)
-Bombard Mylitene, stupid Artillery only know how to hit citizens. Oh, but they do do a fair amount of damage to the Infantry, it seems to be weak enough to attack now.
-Cav retreats.
-Cav dies on Inf. (32-20)
-2 Cavs kill 2 Inf, the city is burned and we have Gems again! (34-20) This helps with happiness, but the lux slider stays at 10 and Susa even needs a taxman (probably due to lack of Cathedral).
IBT:
-Damn, how many settlers do the AI have?
-England and Greece embargo us.
-I watch gleefully as a bunch of Greek Ironclads fail to hit us.
-Pasargadae: Cav->Cav
-Arbela (Where Pollution doth strike): Arty->Arty
-Pollution hits Antioch too.
Turn 10 (1625 AD):
-Bombard the Greeks near Antioch, and kill 2 Cavs and an Inf, taking a settler in the process. (37-20)
-Susa grew, meaning the taxman is now a clown.
Here's our land, increasingly being colonized by Germans, English, and Egyptians:
So, what now? Obviously, we get rid of the Greeks, but how long do we continue this war?
I think we should at least raze Syracuse to get them out of old Carthage, and possibly Gortyn too to make it harder for them to come back in to our "empty zone". I would also like to get rid of Tegea, but with Berlin and Oryx in the way, that could be difficult.
After that, it's time to go remind Germany, England, and Egypt that they aren't welcome there. Perhaps we should also burn Hannover when go after Germany, to make sure our Dyes colonies stay intact.
As for tech, I think we need to research Combustion next. For one thing, we're trapped in the Age of Sails without Coal, but that problem will be solved if we get Destroyers. For another, Greece has a massive amount of Ironclads to bombard us to death with, but last time I checked, Destroyers could turn Ironclads into scrap metal. (And remember, this is PTW- there are no Cruisers, and Ironclads don't upgrade to destroyers)
Pasargadae has enough spt for 1-turn Cavalry, so I have it set to eternally build them. I also have Antioch building Cavalry, Arbela and Persepolis building artillery, and Susa building Infantry. Now, I'm a crappy MM'er, so screw around with this if you want.
And the save:
