On thing I notice is the game version. 1.0.3.18 is out of date (current game version is 1.0.3.144).

Try validating your game files through Steam. Go to your Steam Library, right click Civilization V, select Properties, then Local Files, and then Validate Integrity of Game Cache.

Open Steam. At the top of the screen, there are several menu choices -- Store, Library, Community, etc. -- choose "Library". On the left of the screen will be your games. Right click on Civ V, select "Properties", then "Local Files", then "Verify Integrity of Game Cache".

.18 is larger than .144. Pirated or are there different numbers for different countries?

.18 is not higher than .144 in software land. These aren't actual decimal values, but build versions. Version 1.0.3.18 was released on July 2, 2013.

The 1.0.1.xxx series covered vanilla (IIRC, it topped out at 1.0.1.511). The 1.0.2.xxx series coincided with G&K and the 1.0.3.xxx series coincides with BNW.

Hello, thats s my first post here in Civ 5 topic, I am Civ 3 fan. I have one problem. Civ 5 vanilla, I ve played withoug problems, but today I installed expansion Brave New World, but after settings (I couldn t choose option advanced set), the game was crashed. After setting, I started game and crashed - I tried more times. What s the problem?
