Either way I'd suggest that you reinstall it A dll file is a part of a program that has been put in a separate file, so if the dll file can't be found a part of the program is missing. If the problem is major depends on what part of the program is found in the dll file
Well, the program you want to start and which tells you that a DLL file is missing is the one you need to reinstall. It might help if you would post the exact name of the missing DLL file here, then we can give further advice.
You might also want to search the web for that DLL file, most are downloadable somewhere around. But be sure to get the correct version, the one that matches your OS.
I called my brother and he told me to put the file in my windows system directory and reboot. I did so, and now there is no problem. Thank you very much for your help. You were 80% of the solution to my problem.
And something to remember for the future, a DLL is usually found in the Windows\System (or System32 for WinXP) directory. But sometimes it needs to be put in the folder of the program which requires it, too.
