I got Civ IV gold as a gift for Christmas. It includes both Civ IV 1.7.4 and Warlords 2.1.3, my problem is that most of the self installing mods recognize neither game as being installed and do not give you the option of telling them where to find the games. I suspect that it is because of where the CD installed them, i.e. Civ IV in "\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Gold\" and Warlords in "\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Gold\Warlords\".
Secondarily, many of the mods do not identify their compatibility. BTW I prefer vanilla to warlords.
