ok where is the best RETAIL store to buy civ 3 complete i cant find it anywhere:sad:

Do online retail stores count for you? Amazon had Complete a few weeks ago for $17.95 plus shipping. That's where I bought mine, though it was more expensive back then. ;)

you could probably even find some on ebay now cheap-cheap-cheap. Of course, use the normal caution when buying on ebay, though.

thanks all , i should have said no online retail. i dont have a credit card.

To bad. The box on arrival comes so shiny! Its wrapped in factory plastic. I could have used it for a work locker mirror :crazyeye:

Anyway enough crazyness. You pick a phone and you call the used CD stores, the PAwn shops, anywhere you think migh have software. Many places like that sell PC games that are classic them since they came shipped in console sized boxes. Doubt yo'll find anyone partin with that game though

Nect flip through every dept store, every mall Electronic store. Man just keep callin and if they say " NO" ask em for another Idea as to who might carry it. I bet you keep flippin those pages from front to back and you got Complete, simple as that :)

Buy a copy on Ebay (maybe even a used one... that's how I bought Vanilla for Mac), take your cash to the grocery store, buy a cashier's check and a stamp, and mail the check to the seller. Cheapest way you can buy the game, period. Not every seller accepts money orders (so read the auction description), but many I clicked on do. Take a look. Looks like you can get a new copy for $15-20, or used for $5-9.

If you really must buy a copy in a store, I second the Target idea. I tend to have the best luck finding older/discount games there, as opposed to Best Buys and other real software retailers.

Good luck to you! :goodjob:

I found it 2 weeks ago in Hercules California at Big Lots in a double pack with Capitalism II for $6. I have been hooked ever since.

There should be a sticky thread on how to find new copies of this game. I have Vanilla, Conquests, and Complete, but I would almost liike to get another complete just in case...

Good thinking, Overseer!!! Last time I bought a new computer, my old disks were too corrupt for a new installation...even though I could still use them for my old machine. I think I'll get an extra to keep on hand, because I can just imagine the Civ withdrawal if I couldn't play.

Target has the Vanilla game they call "Jewel case" v1.29 ($9.99) they also have civIV but not conquests or complete. They do have a combo package but I couldn't tell what was in it, it was not complete though.

^probably gold^ which includes ptw and which I would never get if I could find Complete.

^^^^^^
It appears to be cronicals which looks to have all of them from CIV I to CIV IV and all parts in between. cost was $49.99

The thing is, Chronicals doesn't have any of the Civ IV expasion packs which would pretty much amount to the same cost all over again. :(
