help with an install wizard

Just got an HP Ipaq (PDA) and was trying to install the sync software from an included CD. When I run the install wizard from the CD I get an error message stating that an error has ocurred with scripts on this page and asking me if I want to continue to run scripts. either option makes the install wizard unusable. Anyone know any workarounds or solutions for this?

Sounds like the browser is kicking in for some reason - you might try disabling your firewall/popupblocker/IE security settings and see if that works.

That would make sense. When I click on the "My Computer" Icon I get a message informing me that the page I am trying to view is not available offline and asking me if I'd like to connect to the internet.

Seems I have to find a way to disable the browser when running normal applications.
