Help with UV mapper

I'm trying to use the UV mapper to create a texture for a model that I built in blender way back when. I exported the model as a .obj file, loaded it with UVmapper, and created a texture map. I imported the model into bryce from 3ds format. When I try to apply the textures to the model, they turn out like this,

What do I need to do to make this match up the way it's supposed to?
 
Import it into UVmapper.
make a texture map that you think is best with whatever projection you like.
Save the bmp file.
SAVE the model now as obj.
Import the new OBJ into Bryce. Apply the bmp picture as "parametric"
 
yea, I had the same problem. I made textures with trial and error before I found this out O_o
